Major League Baseball player and human rights spokesman Billy Bean signs with real estate brokerage Douglas Elliman Florida to launch its Sports & Entertainment Division.

Douglas Elliman Florida announced that former Major League Baseball player and top-producing Miami-based real estate agent, Billy Bean, has signed on as Director of its recently launched Sports & Entertainment Division.The group has been formed to fulfill the unique needs of athletes and entertainment professionals, a growing niche within Douglas Elliman´s client roster. Retiring from the MLB at the peak of his career in 1996, after six successful seasons with the Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Dodgers, and San Diego Padres, Billy Bean subsequently moved to Miami Beach and joined Channel 6 (WTJV) News as a Sports Reporter/Producer. Since beginning his real estate career the following year, Billy has developed an exclusive and loyal clientele, comprised of many of his peers in the world of sports and entertainment.
